I envision a world where people and nature thrive, science informs decisions, and cross-cultural collaboration drives inclusive solutions.
Hailey is a biodiversity conservation and business development specialist with nearly a decade of experience supporting initiatives across Africa, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, and the U.S.
As an independent consultant, she helps conservation and climate focused organizations scale their impact through partnerships, strategic communications, and program design. At Magnitude Global Finance, she leads proposal writing for opportunities with the World Bank, TNC, WCS, IUCN, Conservation International, Blue Carbon Plus, and the Global Green Growth Institute among others to expand financing pathways for biodiversity conservation, regenerative agriculture, and natural climate solutions. With the Center for Global Development, she leads research on community health impacts from toxic pollutant exposure. For Climate Hive, she advised climate tech companies on marketing and outreach to grow a more qualified pipeline. She has also produced communications products for USAID, the UN Global Compact, and the Gates Foundation.
Previously, Hailey spent 8 years at Chemonics International designing and advising donor-funded initiatives in ecosystem restoration, wildlife protection, regenerative agriculture, environmental justice, and community development—including a $25M USAID project to counter wildlife poaching and trafficking in Southern Africa, co-designed with community-based organizations, conservation groups, ranger training academies, parks and government stakeholders.
A skilled facilitator and storyteller, she has led panels, strategy sessions, and exchanges in eight countries. At the UNLEASH Innovation Lab in Greenland, Hailey mentored youth climate innovators, judged a pitch competition, and moderated the opening panel on Indigenous- and youth-led climate action. Earlier, with the CSIS Global Food & Water Security Program, she supported research on U.S. government climate-smart agriculture investments and coordinated high-level policy dialogues.
Based in San Diego, CA, Hailey recently founded Sea:Grass Sessions (www.seagrasssessions.com), storytelling gatherings where local Earth stewards—from Indigenous farmers to kelp forest scientists—share stories of regenerating nature and community, from the sea to the grass. She loves taking bike trips, spotting octopi in the local MPA, and teaching at Rad Roots Outdoor School.
